    Victor ran as fast as his for legs would allow. He was almost there. Almost there to the door and a little bit closer to the common room. Unknown to him he was going to be home free as soon as he was in the sunlight. Unless Ken decided to be insane and go out in the sunlight, since he was a vampire.

    Still going as fast as he could, he weaved his way under a few tables and sure enough. He took off out of the door. He hadn't looked back the whole time as he was running.

As per calculation, an escaping prey would not want to linger a second longer in an enclosed space. The moment an exit or a possible lead to another hopefully wiser escape route is spotted, they did take it without much thought and consideration. Natural survival instinct? This choice or perhaps luck, had allowed Victor to escape. The vampire still kept with his self agreed upon current pace, literally the non-chasing pace. His black eyes watched the grey fox scampering out towards the timely opened door. Out into the protective light of nature for Victor but a damned cursed flare to Ken. 

Ken stopped with his foot just an inch from the sunlight. He shield his eyes against the bright light which were brighter in the eyes of a nocturnal creature. His eyes slowly and painfully accustomed itself to the bright light, watching the fox running away, gradually and naturally getting further and further away. 

There was no student within range from where he stood and once sure of it, he raised his left hand into the light despite knowing the result. Almost instantly and as expected, smoke began to form where the light had hit. He pulled his hands back, scanning the red burned mark on his pale skin as if he was scanning a piece of infested meat which he is and will be for as long as he decided to not die just yet.

"Victor Shamble." He muttered monotonously. A guinea pig found and locked. At least his days will be perhaps 0.05% less boring while he await the one particular day. Ken turned his back against the door and returned towards the shadow.

    Victor kept running even though he was out in the sunlight. Many of the students stared at the little fox running past them. Why was there a fox on school grounds? Well, hopefully no one would find that part out.
