This boredom was going to seriously destroy her if she did not find something to do. Right now she had to seem somewhat pathetic and very uninteresting as she laid on the bench and stared at the sky. Though there might be a small reason to take interest in the girl and that was simply because she was levitating a book in the air above her. Yawning, Aurore simply waved her hand as the page of the book turned. It was a small act of magic, levitating something this small. Wandless magic was something that was incredibly tough to master, this was about as far as her skills went.

Humming aloud, she couldn't get that song she heard the other day out of her head. Ever since she had been introduced to muggle music it sort of seeped into her mind. She had half a mind to head to London during the break and find some for herself. Maybe she would take Emilie with her, since she knew what was good in that scene. With another lazy wave of her hand she continued to read her Herbology book, oh yeah, she was pretty much that bored.

Several minutes passed before something stepped into her light and cast a shadow upon her. Granted it was fall and the sun wouldn't be up much longer anyway, she clicked her tongue and turned her head to see what or who it was. "Excuse me, do you mind moving over a bit? You're blocking my last bit of sun for the day." she said, though her voice didn't seem to display any irritation. For someone who should have been annoyed she seemed perfectly calm.

    Victor walked along slowly, classes were thankfully over with for a long while for him. It was a good thing for he needed a break from the pressure he was feeling due to his nervousness. He felt choked by it when in the classroom. Whether or not he was called on to do something. He found his way to the courtyard and glanced around. No one seemed to notice him, that was good. However, something did catch his eye and he stopped.

    It was a girl who was levitating a book above her. She didn't have a wand out so...she was very skilled. When she spoke though, Victor took a few steps back.

    "S..sorry." Victor said as he quickly ran off and over to a separate bench and sat down there.

So she had been right initially, the thing blocking her light had been a boy. From the looks of it, it was another Ravenclaw student who lingered in the courtyard. Laughing at his reaction to her comment, she let the book lower it's self to her chest as she sat up slowly. Clutching the book to her chest, she yawned once more and scanned the area for him lazily. Normally she was fully of energy but today was one of those days where she had four classes in one day and that normally left her ragged. He hadn't gone that far from her at all which made her laugh again.

"I didn't mean you had to run off or apologize." she said, standing up and coming over to talk to him. She had always had an interest in people like him, those that seemed to be too shy around others. Usually those people were the ones who were more interesting to be around, especially when they finally got comfortable enough around you to be themselves. Without even asking if he minded, she sat down next to him, smiling at him.

"Aurore." she said, extending her hand for him to shake. He was a rather tall boy, not very buff like the rest of the boys seemed to be. That was definitely what made him stand out a bit more as an individual in her eyes. He didn't seem to carry himself with an ego that was bigger than his own head. "Skipping class or do you have a free period as well?" she asked, seeming genuinely interested. Anything to not have to face her boredom all by her lonesome.

    "Just....s...seemed best to...leave you be..." Victor said.

    Victor was surprised when he saw her come over to the bench he was at. It surprised him even more when she sat down right next to him. Victor scooted over a bit. To allow more room and a bit of space in between them. He looked at her hand nervously. Slowly he raised his and shook it.

    "V..Victor." Victor stuttered, he quickly released her hand after saying his name. "F....free period."

Was he really that nervous or did he have speech problems? She didn't want to ask at the risk of offending him, figuring it was just a confidence issue. He stuttered quite a bit, something she had seen often when boys approached Beauxbatons girls whenever they took a trip outside of the school. It didn't bother her though she wondered how much trouble it gave him when it came to holding a conversation at length with anyone. Not everyone had the sort of patience that she did, but then again maybe that was also why he was out here.

"I wasn't really doing anything important anyway. Since I've gotten here all I've done is read. All of my friends chose not to attend." she said, laughing almost sadly. That was her new goral these days, find some new friends to fill the void left in her schedule. She had so much free time after classes that it was almost ridiculous. She was doing homework before it became last minute rushing and that was a bad sign for her. It meant that she was literally bored to tears with things around here.

Smiling at him, she nodded slightly. "Nice to meet you, Victor." she said with a warm tone of voice. It was also apparent when she spoke that she had a rather noticeable french accent. "Cherish that free period. You don't see many of those until your third year. Especially not if you take advance courses." she said, looking out over the courtyard. Such a calm and peaceful day, even the colours on the leaves added to that feeling. If it weren't for the boys sudden arrival she might have dozed off out here.

"What are you majoring in?"

    She seemed nice. Though there were times back at Hogwarts he made the mistake of thinking someone was nice, only for it to backfire horribly in his face. Like a spell or potion that went wrong at some point. Exploding in one's face. He found it hard though to enjoy free periods, no friends and all. There wasn't much for him to do. He couldn't think of anything to say in reply to what she had said until she brought up major.

    "Transfiguration." Victor answered. "You?"

The boy seemed way too guarded, that's what it was. On top of what seemed like a confidence issue, he was probably bullied or something at one point. Trying to think of a way to get him to open up more and relax would be a real challenge for anyone. Setting her book down next to her on the bench she smiled at him once more. Her movements were slowly, but graceful in an attempt to not startle the jumpy kid. Turning her eyes back to the setting sun, she smirked to herself.

"Transfiguration huh? I am not so good at that. I could never get my mind around some of the concepts." she said with a laugh. The idea of being able to turn one thing into another of course always appealled to her. The problem was that she had no natural talent with the subject and hard work would only get her so far. Most of the things she transfigured only ended up halfway between what it should be and what it used to be. Exactly why she was glad that they never seemed to attempt to transfigure anything living.

"Most of the things I attempt to transfigure end up stuck inbetween their two shapes."

Seeming lost in thought for a moment, Aurore went quiet until his question penetrated her thoughts. "Me? I'm majoring in Care of Magical Creatures. I have always been good at it and have an odd fascination with Ravens and Acromantula's." she said with a half smirk. Most people found the creatures to be horrifying and told her she was odd for her fascination.

    "I...I'm not great at it...but....I have some skill at it." Victor said.

    Transfiguration was tricky, you had to be so careful when doing it. Course, potions was a lot harder in his opinion but that was his way of seeing it. Acromantula? Oh wait....those were the giant spiders weren't they? The REALLY GIANT spiders? Victor had nothing against them it was just that they creepy to him. All those eyes looking at you at one time. Victor shuddered as he shook that thought from his mind.

    "I'm taking....that class." Victor said. "Care for magical creatures....I mean."

At least he was modest about his abilities, unlike some students around here. Alot of people around her seemed to walk around with their chest puffed out showing off for each other. There was a gentle smile on Aurore's face as she nodded all the while listening as he spoke. It bothered her a bit that it took him so long to spit something out, but only because she was very chatty and often found it hard to hold herself back. She had to remember patience, she didn't need to turn trying to speak into some sort of race.

"At least you know your weaknesses. Some might say that makes you wise to be able to admit it and know where you could use improvement." she said, smirking. She of course could definitely stand to follow her own advice as she often took it sort of hard when she failed at something. She had to be the best, there were no exceptions to what she was expected to do. "That class always makes me nervous, afraid I'll ruin whatever I am trying to transfigure." she said, giggling.

Aurore didn't need to be an accomplished Legilimens to know that he was put off by her weird love of giant spiders. She could see it in his eyes as she did with so many other people that she brought it up to. There was a nervous chuckle as she tried to think of a way to change the subject a bit. "That's great! It's probably one of the most exciting classes there is. Hands on with magical creatures, I could not think of a better use of my time." she said, smiling.

"Do you have any pets of your own?"

    Victor shrugged. He didn't know if it was a good or bad thing. He had so many weakness. His whole personality was one. Upon hearing her talk about Care for Magical creatures, he could tell she was going to be one of the kids to have the most fun with it. Victor would like it, but most likely be too nervous to show it.

    "No...I...I don't." Victor answered. "Never had enough money...to get one. You?"
