"Thanks for reminding me", Aileen said and then looked in the index. Counter Jinxes, counter jinxes, counter jinxes... Ah, there it is, she thought. She flipped to the chapter about them and read them. She read quietly but had a "i-don't-get-anything"-expression on her face. After finishing the first few lines she led her head sink on the book. "I don't get that", she said with her face on the book. Aileen raised up her head again. "Do you get that...?", she asked him gingerly and looked at Victor.

    "You're...welcome." Victor said as he sat there.

    The expression she had showed that she was going to ask something soon. And when she asked if he got it, he went dead silent. Counter jinxs? He know of the knock back jinx spell but that was it. That was the only one in his memory.

Aileen looked on the page again. "Here it says... 'A Counter-Jinx is a type of counter-spell that ends the effect of a jinx. It differs from an anti-jinx in that an anti-jinx is intended to prevent those effects rather than remove them.'", she read out. Then she looked at Victor again. "I know, now you think I'm an idiot, but does this mean if you're in attack by a jinx, you can use a counter jinx to... REMOVE the jinx?", she asked. Hell, this term she would fail in DADA, she saw it coming... And if she failed in her major, she would have to leave the University, and... She didn't want that!!

    The way that was worded was a bit confusing. So it was understandable how she got mixed up. He didn't think she was stupid.

    "No, you're not." Victor said. "Yes, the counter-jinx will remove the effects of a jinx. While anti-jinx just doesn't allow the effects of the jinx to go into affect." he paused as he sat there, he wasn't that good at explain things.

Aileen finally got that. "Now I finally got it", she said happily and smiled at Victor. "And, don't tell me I'm no idiot. If it comes to Counter Jinxes and Jinxes and... Curses, I'm an idiot. Even if DADA is my major... I chose it, because at my start here I wanted to be an auror, like I said, and now... I like the things learning about dark magical creatures, even if I don't like the creatures themselves", she told him with smile but a serious look in her eyes.

    She really wasn't an idiot in his opinion. It was a simple thing that anyone could get mixed up. So, Victor just went quiet. He really didn't know why he bothered to take DADA. When he thought about it, he really didn't suit the class. He'd really just try to run away rather than actually fight.
