    Victor sat on the floor in between two large bookcases. Sure there were tables nearby, but he was fine where he was. Course the skinny young man was hunched over, making his back be in a arch and slightly starting to hurt. Both in his back and in his neck. But he would bare with it a little while longer. He was just reading a old book, one that hardly seemed to be noticed due to all the other books here. It seemed that books like these always caught his attention. They had a story to tell but no one seemed interested in reading it.

    It was the same case with his pocket watch that his father had given him. He knew that his oldest brother would've sold it the moment he got it, and the other two might've destroyed the poor thing. Maybe that was why their father had given the old silver watch to him? Did his father actually trust the outcast of the family with a heirloom for that reason? Despite what their brothers would most likely do with it, they did seem angry that Victor received the watch.

    Speaking of that watch, Victor laid the book on his lap and searched his robe pockets. Eventually finding the watch and taking it out. Opening it, his gaze went to it. He still had time before he would head to class. Granted, there was a great deal of time till the next class. But he was still getting used to the place and he didn't want to be late. He closed the watch, making the metallic click noise that it always did.

In every library whether it was catered for the wizarding folk or for the non wizarding folk, there is always one particular section that barely has any visitors. The only visitors that they will ever get were either superbly nerdy kids (ultra rare), couples snogging indiscreetly (they need better taste), loners (it is peaceful) or...a 'sleeping' Ken (always). The section contains a fine collection of ancient looking books that seemed to exist for the sole purpose of being decorations rather than for actual reading. In other words, they are the most boring book you can find possibly find. Rarely were there any students that actually venture into this section. Yet, there wasn't a single speck of dust on them. The librarian is truly doing her job right. 

In between two large bookshelves of such a section, the supposedly ideal student Aizawa Kenichi has been 'snoozing' away. Why the library? It was a place that he trusts to be quiet enough and the section happens to fall within a nice cool shade, away from the evil fireball. The 'anemic and heliophobic' Ken was ditching History of Magic. He had no idea why he bothered to take up that subject again when he lived through some of its history.

He looked at his watch, showing him the time he had been waiting for - the end of the class. It was time to get up and moving. As he walked down the row of bookshelves and tables, he noticed a boy hunched over in a corner and possibly deeply engrossed in the book he was reading before diverting his attention to the old looking watch. "Nice time piece you got there."

    Victor hadn't expected to be spoken to and he didn't really know anyone was in this section of the library. Looking at Aizawa, Victor's nervousness quickly started to take hold.

    "Thanks. It's a family...heirloom, my father gave it to me." Victor said in a low voice, loud enough to be heard but low enough to not disturb anyone else. "Sorry if....if I bothered you. I didn't see anyone else here earlier."

    Victor had gone silent as he tried to think of what else to say. Or at least something to do. Still holding the watch in one hand, Victor looked down at the ground for a moment. Only to look back up.

    "I'm Victor...Shamble. You?" Victor started, might as well greet the stranger no?

The boy looked obviously nervous. Ken was absolutely sure he didn't looked that intimidating or scary apart from the fact he is extremely pale, but being safe within the shade, he didn't looked that dead. The current look on his face may not be his real face but a well formed mask he often adorn during the day. Well perfected and practiced for many long years. Therefore, he safely  concluded that the nervousness is due to the boy himself. New kid? A bully victim? He does look like one.

Of course the boy couldn't have noticed him. Ken was after all laying in the shadows between one of the back most shelves that bordered against the restricted section. Students hardly venture near that area, except the occasional desperate and lovey dovey couples of which depending on his mood, might just throw at them a merciless punishment. 

"Must have been real old if it is." He wouldn't be surprised if the time piece was as old as him or perhaps he is the older of the two. A piece of ticking metal (if it is) being younger than him made him feel unnecessarily old. "And you don't have to worry. You did not bother me." He added on in hope of putting those nerves at ease.

"I'm Victor...Shamble. You?"

Shamble? A funny name. "Aizawa Kenichi but you can just call me Ken." He introduced himself with a friendly and warm smile, contrasting his cold skin and hidden personality. "Slytherin prefect but I don't mind lending a hand if you need any." He continued while flashing his well earned prefect badge to him to ensure him that what he says is the truth. However, in terms of the helping part, Ken will only help him to a certain extent and that is while the sun is still up and shining gleefully away or until he proves either his usefulness or uselessness.

    Victor shrugged his shoulders at the comment about the watch. He wasn't sure how old it was. No matter how often he searched, he could never find a date nor a year. It was as if the old watch didn't want it's age to be known. Well, if you were as old as it, you probably wouldn't want anyone to know.

    "I...I guess. I'm not sure how...old it is." Victor answered.

    Victor's gaze went to the prefect badge that Ken wore. He never really saw one of those back at Hogwarts. Mainly due to the fact he was too busy studying most of the time and the rest of the time he was trying to avoid the bullies. He returned his gaze to Ken.

    "Con...Congrants. On being a p...prefect." Victor said.

It was perfectly understandable that he would not remember it. No one hardly remembers the age of an ancient looking or a really ancient item. Age is after all just a number that keeps adding on as how his real age is comparatively to his appearance age. A good thing he was turned after the legal age. Floating nice and comfortably in the land of forever 20s. No dependency on adults and looking forever young but sickly. Not that there were any still alive in the first place. All brutally murdered.

"Arigato." (Thank you) He grinned at the boy. It was hard work trying to obtain the prefect status. Constantly churning out good grades, having good relationships with his professor especially his head of house and form good relations with the rest of the students. An act that was completely unlike him but it was well worth it in the end. He needed influence and power. The status may not be as grand as a Head Boy but it was enough...for now.

"You know you could ask your dad about who he got it from. Might be able to have a rough estimation as to how far back." He suggested. The boy might just get a rough idea as to how far back it was if his dad were to say he got it from his father and his father got it from his father and so on until a point of uncertainty. "Or you could just send it to some experts or such old thing."

    The words that Kenshin spoke confused him. But since he most likely said them in response to the congrants, he assumed it mean thanks. Or at least something along them lines. Upon hearing the suggestion of asking his father about the watch or sending to specialists, Victor glanced down at it. The silver metal reflected some of the light.

    "He....he probably wouldn't tell me even if I asked." Victor said, he then looked backed at Kenshin. "Besides....even...even though the date isn't on it anymore, I can always find out...in...in time. Everything has...has a story to tell, it might just be...the watch doesn't want to...to tell it's story yet."

    Everything has a story to tell. Victor's only belief like thing in the world. Give him a old book that hardly a soul will read, he'll read it and say that it still has a story to tell. Sure everyone most likely thought it was a stupid and crazy belief. Many people often teased him for that as well. Asking him if the walls and floors themselves had stories to tell and if he knew them, to enlighten them. Course...he didn't know their stories.

Ken tilted his head as the boy stuttered his explanation. A problem with his father or perhaps he himself was just too nervous to even ask his father. Which ever the reason was, it was none of his business. The pale young man still has one large unsettled business to be bothered by any others especially a weak looking one before him. 

Everyone has a story. He hasn't met anyone who shared the same story as his. The people that he used to play together, laugh, cry and whatnot were already long dead but his stories continues as he search for that end. "You won't get the story if you don't ask." He walked towards the boy, slowly, not wanting to give any sudden surprises as if he was approaching a scared little puppy. He stopped at what he concluded as a safe distance for the both of them and squatted in front of him. "Have you tried asking it in the first place." Ken pointed lazily at the silver time piece. "Maybe it's waiting for you to ask."

You will never get the answer you seek if you don't start asking questions. A Ravenclaw should know that. Should be second nature to most of them. "Like the place you are sitting right now." Ken gently tap at the dusty floor. "Did you know that a boy was once brutally murdered here and the murderer is still on the loose." He continued with a serious face.

    "There's a right time....when...when it comes to asking things." Victor said. "The time just hasn't come yet so..I...I never asked."

    Victor was starting to relax a bit but that quickly went away when the vampire before him brought up a murder. He sat there silent with eyes slightly wide. What color he had to his face left him as he sat there. How was he suppose to respond to that? Victor shook his head. There was no way his voice was coming through now.

Ken let out a loud laugh after witnessing the frighten face of the boy. His laughter may have brought some unwanted glares or attention towards them but he just wave them away. Victor may not be as pale as Ken but the colors of his face was definitely inching towards that shade. "Relax. It's just a joke." He explained in between a laugh. However, death in and out of the grounds has definitely happened once upon a time but he felt it was best not to tease him too much. He wouldn't want to carry a guy on his back to the hospital wing. It's troublesome and he's a freaking dude...but then, if he were to be a she...Ken wouldn't even bothered.

"How can you be sure of the right time if you never try." Time is cruel. They never wait and they never look back nor do they ever tell you when it will be alright and when it won't. Although time turners make things a heck lot easier and manipulative but the batch of it had long been destroyed. Impressive Miss Granger. 

"The time may have long pass."
