Sitting with the Owls (Baby)

    Victor sat in the owlery, honestly not sure why he had bothered to come up here. He never got mail and he stopped sending mail for that reason. The letters he had sent before were to his family but never once did he get a response. Either the letters never got to them or his family just didn't care to hear from him. Oh well, it didn't matter.

    The owl wasn't even his, it was the school's and still he felt like he should at least visit it. Sure, hundreds of other people most likely used it. Might've been why he it was allowing him to pet it. Course, Victor was going about it very gently, trying his best not to upset the poor bird. After stroking it's feathers a few times, he stopped and let a sigh go. He was stupid and had a letter, but he knew better than to send it. Course the only people he had to write were his parents, even though none of his other letters were responded to.

in character: James closes his defense against the dark arts textbook. He had finished his homework, at least for today. James goes up to his dormitory and puts away his book. Now he had free time he considered reading or riding his boom


He realizes he hasn't written to his family in a while and decides he better write to them. He starts writing his letter. He finishes and the letter basically says he's doing fine, still getting high grades, how is the family, how are the dogs. He lets the ink dry then puts it in an envelope.


James stands and walks down to the ravenclaw tower common room. He exits the Ravenclaw tower and starts walking through the halls. Holding a book and his letter. James is mostly ignored and he ignores the other people except to make sure they don't run into eachother.


He does occasionally greet friends though and they greet him back, but none of them had the same destination so they don't talk much more after. James thinks over his homework and realizes he made a mistake at the end of one of the papers.


He decides he'll return to the tower and fix it after sending his owl and reading a bit. James enters the owlery. His owl flies down to him and after some interaction he pulls out the letter and something to tie it on with. He puts it on his owl then releases the owl which flies out. He notices someone sitting in the owlery.
