Dawn couldn't help herself. The day was cool with a bit of a breeze, and she was done with her classes already. One of the benefits of having early classes? Getting the whole day to do whatever she wanted to do. Well, except for when she had to work in the library of course. But the librarian was nice enough to give her the day off, and Dawn was grateful. She was starting to feel stir-crazy since fall had begun. She couldn't help but giggle to herself as she went up to the Quidditch Stadium. She was to be the female commentator and couldn't wait to see the first game of the season.
She rushed up the steps to the stadium seats with a large book in hand, her thick cloak wrapped around her. Her dark brown curls were swept around her neck as she looked over the whole field. The sight of it took her breath away. She could see everything, even with the wind blowing in her blue-green eyes. A smile graced her lips, adding a youthful light to her face that wasn't always obvious.
She went over to where the commentators and professors sat during the matches. She couldn't resist running her hands over the wooden structure, just enjoying the feel of it. It was almost like she could feel a thrum in the wood, as though it was trying to convey all of the remembered emotions. The excitement, anticipation, joy, sorrow, disappointment, astonishment. She could practically feel it all under her finger tips, and she loved the thrill of it. Smiling more, she sat as high up as she could and wrapped her cloak around her shoulders. Then she held the book close to her chest and closed her eyes, feeling the wind wrap around her. Ever since she was a child, she had loved the feel of the autumnal wind. She couldn't help but laugh softly to herself. A girl with the middle name 'Autumn' loves the season of Autumn. How ironic. She shook her head at the thought.
