The wind swept the grounds of Hogwarts at a furious pace, ripping branches from trees, as if they were mere twigs. Rain had been falling at a steady pace, driven hard by the gale, for near two days. Thunder rolled across the darkened sky and lightning split the heavens apart.
Lightning forked the clouds and thunder shook the world below. In his bed, Orion awoke startled awake instantly, stifling a cry of surprise. Sweat glistening on his toned, bare chest, he took a deep breath as he surveyed the Slytherin dorm. He tried to calm himself, he had never been able to weather severe storms alone, Hell he couldn't stand to sleep alone so to speak, as a child he had taken refuge in his parents presence each time the panic had set in. No one would have guessed, given his persona, that he suffered this particular weakness, were it known that he was irrationally afraid of such trivial things as thunderstorms, he would have been ridiculed mercilessly in the Slytherin house. Unnerved by the violence outside his window, he threw back the covers, grabbed his wife beater from the floor and took his wand from his bedside table barefoot made his way to the door and down the corridor. If he couldn't sleep he decided he would explore.
The halls were dark outside of the Slytherin dorms. The portraits slept soundly as the lightning lit his way somewhat but still he felt the need.
"Lumos"
A simple spell but an effective one to make him feel slightly more at ease. He wandered what felt like hours but was closely more accurately minuets. All to soon he noticed another light in front of him. Aggravatingly he couldn't see who the torch bearer was.
"Who's there?"
