Gathering Plants and Other Information - Sythe

Hearing Sythe sigh, Rachel felt an odd tug in the bottom of her gut. She really didn't know if it was a good sigh or a bad one. But however the hug that the other woman gave her cleared away all her doubts. The herbology professor smiled softly.

Hearing Sythe speak softly to her, Rachel shook her head. "Then those people are one of the most ignorant people ever. One should not fear other creatures, instead they should embrace them with open arms. Who knows, being acquaintances with them might come in handy later in life. If one is willing to help another, than that creature might in return do something for them." She murmured softly, looking into to the woman's eyes.

A smile played on Rachel's lips and she said, "No, I'm the one in debt to you. You allowed me into your life when you knew that I might have turned you away. I can never thank you enough." Her eyes widen ever so slightly when she listened to Sythe's tale about herself. The young woman knew that a silver wolf is rather rare and it amazed her that it was standing right in front of her.

However a look of pain shot across her face when she heard that Sythe's own brother murdered their father. She covered her mouth with her hand, a sob-like gasp threatening to come out. "I'm so sorry." She whispered behind her hands as she watched the woman turn her back on her. Rachel reached out and gently touched the other woman's shoulder. "You are very welcome."

There had been one part of the story she had planned on leaving out, her body going rigid as she felt the professors hand against her shoulder, and she smiled to her- her hand moving to the woman’s wrist, gently laying her hand on it. ”I saved my mother and my sister...that night...” she spoke quietly, the memories of that horrible incident fresh in her mind, as if it had only happened yesterday.

"I don't know how.. but in my werewolf form i didn't attack them.. as anyone would expect.. i only attacked him." she spoke quietly, remembering the fight between her and her brother- her creator, remembering pinning him down his neck in between her massive fangs, blood had soiled the ground last night, blood had soiled her white fur, a mixture of her own and her brothers.

"When my mother told me to stop..i did.. i stopped; a werewolf listened to a human like a lapdog.." she laughed ever so gently, and it seemed to carry in the wind. "Perhaps, one day..during a full moon you also will need to be rescued..." Sythe would turn to her. "I will protect you.." she spoke calmly, why had she had this urge to save and help everyone- even if they didn't need it.

Maybe she thought it was a way to redeem herself, because she didn't get to her father in time.

"Come on now, there are far more dangers at night- even lurking in your precious waters." Sythe spoke softly to her, as she stood out on the grounds waiting for the professor, Sythe would admit the professor had been cute- but blondes weren't exactly in her taste she however doubted any one would appreciate a werewolf hitting on them, quickly pushing the thoughts away.

Rachel contiuned to listen to Sythe's tale with tears in her eyes. She couldn't believe that this woman had to watch her brother kill her father and at the same time save her sisters and mother. "You're so brave to do that." She said softly, "I wouldn't have been able to do that, if I was in your place." She added sadly.

Laughing along with Sythe on her lap dog comment, Rachel tilted her head up to smile at the woman next to her. "Thank you for saying that Sythe. That means a lot to me." And it really did. Who would have thought to hear a werewolf saying that on the next full moon, if she needed to be saved, the other woman would?

Rachel glanced once more at the lake, and then up at the moon, before turning towards Sythe. Nodding her head she murmured, "Alright. I do suppose it's not that safe here. I'm sure there are creatures waiting to eat me." She then walked a few steps closer to the woman coming to a stop next to her. "Come."

Sythe had paused, was that woman going to cry? Her eyebrow rose ever so slightly,had her story been a sad one? Sythe thought on it, what had she been thinking.. of course it had been. She forced a smile at the thought, the experience made her stronger though. She looked to her,and Rachel made a comment that made her stop, it even made her heart skip a beat. She looked down, it had been true..not many people would have done that.

”I believe it’s something akin to wolves, pack instinct and what not.” she spoke quietly, and glanced seeing that Rachel had walked up and stood next to her, she laughed at what the professor said next, walking with her. ”I don’t want you trying to give me dog treats.” she laughed with a smile on her face walking next to her new friend. Still, she wanted to stare under the moon all night, her true self, it had been clawing at her stomach- just wanting to break free.

Continuing walking with her,she laughed at her."Don't worry, most creatures tend not to come this far out." she spoke calmly. "Desperate spiders every now and then.." she hated spiders. She paused and looked to her, "I should forgive myself, the days before.. the full moon I tend to be.. irritable, i am naturally an alpha..so i'll be bit of a brute.." she sighed softly, and that reminded her, "Is there any plants that gives me energy,or perhaps i should go and see if the potions teacher has any.." she paused, as they had been at the entrance of the castle,yeah a potion could be more effective then a plant.

"After it, I get incredibly tired and sore though." talking about her transformation of course.

When Sythe stopped walking, Rachel nearly bumped into her. Looking at her friend in confusion, she waited for an explanation to the cease of walking. It came readily enough, but the young Herbology professor had to pause and tried to remember what they were talking about.

”Oh, is that so?” Rachel murmured, ”That’s a very interesting fact to know.” She then laughed softly and shook her head. ”No need to worry Sythe. I won’t treat you like a animal. You are a human, and I’m going to treat you like one.” The young woman said honestly.

Listening to her new friend talk, Rachel nodded her head. ”Well that’s good to know.” However her eyes twitched when Sythe mentioned spiders. ”Spiders?” She said in a slight quavering voice, ”They actually come out this far?” She glanced behind them, towards the trees. Her human eyes couldn’t pick out anything in the darkness, but she knew that something was out there.

Turning back to Sythe, Rachel shook her head, ”Oh there is no need to apologize. I understand completely. If I was in your place, I would have bitten my companions’ head off already.” She said with a cheeky smile. She then paused a bit and then murmured, ”Sorry, but I do believe that you might need to see the potions professor for that. I don’t really recall if there is any plants that might help give you strength. However, you can get a strength potion.” She then gave Sythe a pat on the shoulders when she said that her transformation was rather tiring afterwards. ”I can image that for sure.”

Sythe nodded her head, as her stomach gave a low growl, that caused her to patt her stomach , giving a soft laugh. ”Another, unfortunate side effect to my illness..” she spoke with a snicker.”I’m often hungry, i normally take my steaks on the rare side.” she snickered as she continued to walk.So she had to make friends with the potions teacher, hopefully they wouldn’t be as clever as her new friend next to her, she smirked and glanced to the Herbology teacher.

She continued to walk, she would have to prepare herself for the full moon. Walking into the school, she stopped and looked to her. ”Again, I can’t express my gratitude enough to you, Rachel.” she spoke with a soft sigh, as her stomach had begun to feel like it had decided, that it had been sick of waiting for her to feed it, and quiet frankly started to help itself and eat her from the inside out. She gave another annoyed sigh, as the angry growl of her stomach replied back to her.

”I hope to see you again, I must go prepare for class for the next week, they are learning about the verdimillous spell.”

She would begin to walk off, before pausing. ”You are... a good friend to me.” she spoke, trying to word her sentence correctly, so not to sound a bit odd. Friendship had been an odd concept to Sythe, that she hadn’t exactly ever had. All she ever had that had been closest to friendship is that of her family. She paused smiling at the thoughts that came in her head, she didn’t plan on making friends while working here, a werewolf in transformation could kill their very best friend, it didn’t matter to the beast.

The only thing they liked had been other werewolves, but.. that didn’t make sense for her case. That didn’t make any sense at all. She had saved her family, her human family from a werewolf, from the very werewolf who changed her- stole her humanity, from her.. her own twisted brother. She sighed softly, so much drama, at least he had been where he belonged, the murderer. She would walk again, ”I’ll see you later” she spoke with a soft wave of her hand, she had to see the potions teacher soon, it would have to be after her transformation, she wouldn’t want to be rude to the person who could save her from a lot of annoyances.
