"It normally work." Nana mumbled while wiping away the lip gloss stain. It is true that they normally work but she hadn't told him about the possible reactions. They would either be in a state of shock and run away, or be in a state of shock and gaped like an idiot, or be in a state of shock and slapped her. The third option never happened yet. Despite the possible outcome between the first and second option, and the guarantee at her earning more female fury, Nana secretly enjoys those little act. Actions that maximize the use of her clear superiority against an inferior female. The sound of heart breaking were addictive. The tear stained cheeks and shouts of incomprehensible English that followed made it even more exhilarating. 

The trio should not have been easily shaken by such a common dramatic heart wreaking display of crushing fandom. It is against the number rule of being a fan. One must never stop loving despite the circumstances of the one we love. If they do, they are not worthy for him. Nana gave one last wipe at his now plain manly clear cheek. "Oh don't worry Mr Referee. They'll be back declaring their affections before the day ends."

She turned to him with her arms crossed, playfully teasing him, "Is it that bad to be rumored with me." She then proceeded to poking him on his arm, puffed out her cheeks as she continued on, "You should be more worried about me turning you into a solid gold statue, cutting you into pieces and then selling them off." If it wasn't for her playfully sulky looking demeanor, it did sounded as if she was dangerously serious.

"It normally works with the kind of reaction that just followed?" Alex asked amused, cocking an eyebrow at Jin Ah. He then rolled his eyes at the girl's statement about the girls coming back to declare their affection for him before the date is over.

"I really hope not." He remarked, "I'm not the type who loves attention. A little is fine, but if I get too much of it, I just want to slip away and disappear." Alex thought back to the days of not being popular... things were so much better then.

Turning his attention back on to Jin Ah, the boy shook his head. "Of course not Jin Ah. I didn't mean it that way. It's just that I may have a crush on some girl..." He then raised an eyebrow and asked curiously after listening to the girl playfully threatening him, "Humm, how much do you think each of my body parts would sell for?"

She pretended to not catch his comment on the trio's reaction, busied herself by tying her hair into a ponytail and immediately focusing their topic on his next statement. "A cute referee is already a source of attraction." Teasing him. Being a Quidditch referee, attention is a definite existence and even more on the pitch, but a different type of attention. However, with that cute face, shaking off the attention is generally impossible even if he were to be the king of all jerks which she prefer he did not.

The way they treat attention was obviously different. He avoided the extras but for Nana, attention is a must. They are never too much. For the vain princess, they come in handy when needed and to those inexperienced, they did find it troublesome. 

The sudden declaration of an existing crush excited her. "Jeongmalyo? Nugu?" Unintentionally blurting out in her native tongue as she bounced excitedly in her place while clasped her hands together. Despite her vain exterior and attitude towards anything related to knowledge, the girl pretty much have a tender heart in the romance department. She gets unnecessarily excited at a love talk, be it a guy or a girl. Anything that ranges from a sobbing heart break to a sweet dramatic first love, excites her but not as much as Transfiguration itself. "Erm. I meant...Really? Who is it?" She repeated herself upon realizing it wasn't English and perhaps the look on his face.

"Who is it?" She playfully poked him. "Does she love gold? If yes, I can help turn you into one and then drop you off at her doorstep." It was a joke obviously but the thought of creating a golden statue from flesh was exciting...and cruel. She sat there, eyes sparkling with excitement. Questions filled her mind as she awaits his response. Do I know this girl? Ravenclaw? Younger or older?

Alex was rather amused when Jin Ah completely ignored his question as she busied herself with the task of tying up her hair. He then rolled his eyes at the girl and replied, "True that." He sighed as he thought about his life. "Sometimes I wonder how my life would be if I wasn't the referee or if I wasn't this." He gestured to his face.

At his comment about having a crush on Skye, Jin Ah automatically perked up. Alex jumped a little and then blinked at her words. "Erm what?" His expression on his face was a confused one. Were they Korean again? But it soon cleared up and was replaced by a blush. "Y-yes, I do and you won't know her... I hope." He added quietly at the end.

"Not telling," Alex whined playfully back, "And I don't know if she likes gold or not. I hope she doesn't for I don't want to be turned into a statue. I was just curious that's all." At the look on Jin Ah's face, the boy couldn't help but let out another sigh. "But I'll give you this hint, she's a year younger than us." Not much of a hint, but that was all he was going to say.

"Possibly regretting." She replied without much thought at the comment about his own face. In her opinion, it wasn't overly attractive as if he was a walking God of Love. The thought of having both male and female ogling at you the moment you come into their line of vision, or having the ability to attract a crowd large enough to fit one of the domes in Japan in a matter of minutes. That would be plain annoying even for a vain person as her although it was interesting. Alex wasn't plain looking either. He has a face with a decent amount of female attraction, leaning more to the cute side as appose to the standard overrated manly chiseled face. 

She raised an eyebrow at him. That was indeed not much of a hint although it did help in narrowing done the list of possible crush candidates. "Right! So, it's just one of the four houses times two years of girls. How many can they be." She gave him the 'Ha-ha very funny look'.  "Can't you at least tell me which house she is in?" A pleading look.

A slight smile appeared on Alex's face when he heard Jin Ah's comment. "Would I really?" He mused softly to himself as he stretched out on the green grass with his text book on his stomach. The boy knew that he wasn't really the type of guy that most girls would ogle at, but in truth, he was glad about that. He liked being himself and not someone else.

Alex chuckled softly at the look the girl as giving him. He knew that she was slightly angry with him for not telling her more. Hearing her words, he shook his head. She could be really stubborn sometimes. Sticking his tongue out at Jin Ah, the boy shrugged his shoulders and muttered, "Why should I? I have asked many people about their opinion about this house and it's always the same. That's why I'm so reluctant to tell anyone anything anymore."

It was true, Alex had asked Kallie and a few other people and they always told him that the Slytherin house was terrible. They only thought about themselves and nothing else. The boy had a really hard time taking it in, for seriously he thought otherwise about them. Skye was different in a way to him. Now he really hoped he wasn't wrong about it.

He may have refused to tell her any more hints but his statement was already a hint by itself whether he realized it or not. The first half of his sentence was suggestive that this particular house have a specific trait in all its students. To begin with, the four house do have their own dominant trait and this was precisely the reason why each and every one of the individual who are similar were placed together. Just like these two Ravenclaws, having a usually girl to girl love conversation. Wait...When did they gotten so comfortable with each other to such an extent? 

Back to topic - Which ever house it was, the possible reaction or feedback he gotten were unpleasant, at least to his eyes. Every house have a bad point or an occasional bad student just like how every family having that one black sheep or an individual with his or her bad side. This would include her own precious house but she'll choose not to comment. House loyalties as they say. 

It was probably safe to exclude Ravenclaw from the list since he was reluctant to tell anyone about it. You can't just not tell anyone what house you are from since the uniform was self explanatory and it was highly impossible and rare to hate one's own house. The sorting hat knows his business darn well. ”Ravenclaw out!” A mental checklist. ”Gryffindor...Hufflepuff... Slytherin.” She couldn't imagine those badgers being hated. Gryffindors? Well some of them can be an ass at times but the thought of the house of snakes seemed very tempting. Not wanting sound like those stereotypical anti Slytherins but they do have a remarkable life long reputation.

“Slytherin?” She asked in a rather...controlled excitement instead of sounding shocked or disgusted. To the girl who had never loved, she gets overly excited on the complexity she often watched in dramas. However, the fact that she might have hit the bull's eye on her first try might just make her seemed to be stereotypical of Slytherins as those other kids. It was no different with others viewing studious kids as nerds and geeks. Many generations of ingrained culture perhaps?

The enlighten look on Jin Ah's face told Alex that he may have said more than he should have. Since she was a Ravenclaw like himself, she should be able to get which house Skye was easily. Dreading the answer, the boy cracked open his book and busily began to read and tried to ignore the girl sitting next to him.

Deep down inside of Alex, the boy didn't know whether or not it is right to even like Skye. She and him are rather similar yes, both loving quidditch, both are sometimes a bit crazy (talking to broomsticks would be an example) and above all, they were both just rather unique individuals just like everyone else in the school... but the problem was that she was a Slytherin and Slytherins are considered bad.

Mentally groaning about the ideas that were popping into his head, Alex set the book aside and began rolling around on the grass in slight distress. Only did he hastily stop when he heard Jin Ah talk to him again. "Humm?" He said, rolling back to the girl, "Oh that... yeah." He admitted softly, eyes darting to the ground again.

However Alex was surprised by the tone that Jin Ah had used. She didn't sound angry at all. In fact she sounded rather excited. His eyes darted back towards the girl's face as he lifted his head back up. "So are you going to lecture to me about how bad Slytherins are too?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Rolling about in the grass wasn't going to help the boy from deflecting the incoming spot on guess but she supposed it did help with keeping his nerves in check. Nana was expecting more of a denial, at the very least a small no from him but instead, he admitted to it. No complains here! It saved her the trouble of identifying the possible crush - Second year Slytherin girl. The list of possible crushes had been significantly shorten but it doesn't mean that there are not too many second year snakes running about that has the ability to attract a cute eagle. Putting it in literal animal form does sound very wrong in the food chain department but nevertheless, the task should be easier. 

Before she could mentally sort out all the younger Slytherin that she have met, seen or knew, a question was put forward. "So are you going to lecture to me about how bad Slytherins are too?"  She mimicked his tilting head. "Do I look like a Gryffindor to you?" It was an obvious fact that both houses never quite gotten along with each other. It was even in their history book especially with what happen during the Second Wizarding War. While the war may have long pass them by, giving birth to a new generation, the stereotypical generation implanted view at a Slytherin hadn't quite changed. Cunning and ambitious with a history of hatred for muggleborn. Even muggle mothers warned their children to not play with snakes, what more a wizarding family.

She sighed and straighten back up again, sweeping another stray blonde lock away from her face. It can't be helped that the cute Ravenclaw had to develop a major crush on a Slytherin. Nana could imagine hearing all his fan's hearts shattering the moment this little piece of romance gets out into the open. "I won't deny that Slytherins are generally on the bad side themselves and almost everyone else and...you don't really need my lecture for it." She began. The boy would have heard enough of those remarks to be able to write a book and any more wouldn't do any good. "So what are you going to do about it?"

Alex gave Jin Ah an amused look when the girl copied his movement. "Obviously not." He commented lightly, "If you were a Gryffindor, you probably would have yelled at me and cursed me by now." However the girl hadn't really fully answered his question. But he knew that the lecture would may or may not be after this.

I won't deny that Slytherins are generally on the bad side...

'Ah there it is,' Alex thought, clearly not amused, to himself, 'See, I knew she was going to comment sooner or later.'  The boy tuned out Jin Ah's voice as he drummed his fingers on the grass beside him, but caught the last part of her question. Shrugging his shoulders he replied. "I don't know really. I have asked her out once, but I think she didn't really have much interest in it or me."

The boy's shoulder slumped dejectedly as he spoke. It was true. Alex had asked Skye out once and that was the last time he had seen her. "Beside, there are a lot of other good looking guys, especially in her house, no?" He asked Jin Ah, rather sadly, giving the girl next to him a sad dejected look. He had no chance of asking her out again or even being with her, come to think of it.
