While she was giving her rather generalize point of view of the snakes, she noticed the boy drummed his finger. Perhaps she had ticked him off by her not so lectured lecture. Was he expecting her to side his infatuation with an overly sugar coated snake and a cherry on top? A Ravenclaw she may be but she is entitled to her opinion. To begin with, that wasn't even her personal opinion but merely her stating an obvious fact. It can't be helped that the majority of the snakes slither around in their best bad behavior which unwillingly put the better snakes in an equal spotlight. For a boy having a crush a Slytherin girl, it did make matters better. His rationality was most likely compromised as are those who are in love always do. Love is a scary thing and Cupid is the monster.

After appearing to be somewhat ticked, he was now appearing dejected. "I don't know really. I have asked her out once, but I think she didn't really have much interest in it or me." Or, the girl was just really good at hiding it. The look on his face as he turn towards her was like a sad puppy especially with that cute face. That made Nana giving him a good smack on the back of his head. Hopefully it wasn't too hard. "If they're that good looking do you think she did still be single? And who knows, she might hate the male snakes herself."

As the boy sat there next to the girl, he began to wonder why he was even talking about this with her. He was never this open about his relationships, so did this conversation even start? However that thought as well as the pitiful look on Alex's face disappeared as soon as he received the smack to the head by Jin Ah. In fact the dejected look was replaced by a rather stunned look and the wayward thought was replaced by 'what?' The boy opened and closed his mouth for a few seconds as he blinked in surprised at the girl, making him look a lot like a fish. No one had ever smacked him for being sad before. His ego and pride were both a little bruised.

"Y-you hit me." Alex said accusingly, "No, one has hit be before, just because I gave them a dejected look." He then shook his head and muttered softly in awe, "Wow, you are something, are you Jin Ah?" The boy was impressed by how well impulsive Jin Ah was. He was also impressed on how well he was taking this situation too. If it had been some other guy, he bet that they probably would have at least yelled at her for hitting them.

The boy then shrugged his shoulders and muttered sulkily, the dejected look back on his face again, "Well I don't know. I mean some girls are like that right? Playing hard to get, or perhaps they just like flirting with guys in general and don't want to stick to just one guy?" In his heart, Alex hoped that what he was saying wasn't actually true. If it was, he knew he probably suffer a major heartbreak. Okay, may not as bad and as big, but it still would hurt. Especially if this was the first time he had truly felt this way to another person.

"Y-you hit me." He needed it, in her opinion. She rocked from side to side, eyes fixed at the distant spot somewhere across the lake, acting all innocent. Her sharp ears however did managed to pick up what she would assume to be a compliment but she pretends to not hear it although the smile on her face gave it away. "Because I'm Nana~!" She thought to herself.

From the corner of her eyes, the boy had once again returned to his dejected state. He shrugged his shoulders and muttered sulkily, "Well I don't know. I mean some girls are like that right? Playing hard to get, or perhaps they just like flirting with guys in general and don't want to stick to just one guy?" Nana acknowledge his worries. There are always some females that loves playing hard to get or being a literal player themselves. Females are no different then their male counterparts and she could never understand why both sexes have to bicker over who is the worse partner. Was there a trophy to win at the end of it all? The standard being woman are hard to understand and man...being man and the whole idea of friendzone. Seriously!?

Nana gave him another hit to the head but it was more playful then pure strength. She wouldn't want to classify that kind of character as being partly due to her being a snake. It did be unfair to those who are truly loyal innocent lovers. She would put it as purely the girl herself. "You're just guessing it."

Alex rolled his eyes when Jin Ah ignored him accusations. Fine, be like that then... he thought to himself and shook his head. But a tiny smirk appeared on his face when the boy saw the tiny smile on the girl's face. Ha, so she had been listening... why wasn't he surprised that Jin Ah only listens to the stuff she wanted to hear?

At his next few statements, Alex received another smack to the head. He could tell that it was a playful one, but abide it did hurt. He gave the girl next to him a mock glare as he made exaggerated rubbing his head. "Stop hitting me." He said with a shake of his head.

Alex then scoffed slightly and then gave Jin Ah an uncommitted shrug of his shoulders. "Well I do suppose you are right. I tend to over-think things, guess around a lot and freak out about them." He admitted grudgingly as he stared out among the lake before looking back at the girl.

"How about we drop this subject and get some studying done?" He finally asked with a small smile, trying to change the topic. Alex was already disappointed and didn't want to stay on this one any longer.
