She couldn't really discern what it was that kept her tossing and turning, only that it was nearly a nightly thing. Once, one of her older siblings Avery had suggested that it was because Baby was so high-strung she didn't know how to relax properly. At the time Baby had scoffed and claimed she knew exactly how to fall asleep so that couldn't possibly be true but more and more often had she begun to consider it. Was she really so tense she didn't know how to sleep? Was she that uncomfortable? Whenever she transformed, she was able to sleep, so maybe it did have some truth to it. This was how her nightly pity parties usually begun, with her considering her sister's suggestion about why she couldn't sleep. Then, gradually, it would gain momentum until either she cried herself to sleep or she was too exhausted to think about more hateful things about her. Tonight was shaping up to be exactly like every other night until suddenly her thoughts were inturrupted by the sound of her stomach growling. Great, the last thing she needed. She knew exactly why she was hungry, too. She had had so much homework that night that she'd begun working as soon as she got back to her dorm and kept working right through dinner. At first she tried to ignore the pain in her stomach and sounds it was emitting until it all became too much and she gave up on all pretenses of sleep. Sighing audibly she rolled over and crawled out of bed, groping around in the dark for clothing. There was no way she would be able sleep like this and, as she had classes in the morning and therefore needed sleep if she was to deal with all of that. Baby grabbed the first pieces of clothing her hands found and put them on, figuring that it was highly unlikely that she would run in to anyone at this time of night in the kitchens or corridors. Of course there was the risk of running in to a prefect on the way to the kitchens but, really, who wouldn't be sympathetic to a student experiencing hunger pains? And if they didn't believe her story she would simply ask them to wait a minute so they could hear the evidence themselves. Being careful not to wake her roommate, Baby exited the dorm and then, just as quietly, the Hufflepuff common room. There had been a few students scattered around the room but she was almost certain none of them would tell on her to either a professor or a prefect - it was almost an unspoken rule when you’re in the same house. Family should never betray each other. As she walked through the corridors towards the kitchens, she was cautious but not too worried about running in to anyone. However she was proven wrong when she walked in to the kitchens and stopped dead in her tracks. Baby cursed silently in her mind at her luck, of course she would run in to someone now when she was so close to her goal of food. Glaring at the other person there, Baby felt her lips purse in irritation as her stomach let out another loud growl of hunger. She couldn’t see who it was yet and just hoped for them not to be a prefect. FINALLY GOT THIS TO WORK TOOT TOOT

Being a vampire means one thing, you don't sleep. It is not whether they want to or not nor is it by course of human nature, they just can't although it is fake-able. Besides, they are no longer human despite retaining their initial appearance. This is the case for the not so young Kenichi. Being a prefect, he is given the absolute authority to linger along the many corridors of the university every night for as long as he desires. While most prefects and professor alike would have long retreated back to their cozy nest, the young Slytherin would continue on his extend moonlight patrol. Good grades, polite, responsible, popular with the students and an ideal student material (externally) with a good looking pale face - No one would question his late night strolls.

It was just like every other night. Quiet, long and extremely boring. He stopped to gaze at the lonesome moon. The same moon he had been gazing at for the last century. One of the few things that never changed. The moon was almost full, meaning that the haunted forest will soon be busy with the arrival of more furballs. How does a transformation feels like? He heard  many a times that it was excruciatingly painful. Evident in the agonizing screams he would listen to on nights of a full moon. At least it was a once a month ordeal and they have a chance of growing old together with their loved ones although they have a large craving for anything meat. Vampires? It's a curse until the day they are murdered. A cruel end.

Ken pulled himself away from the window and the thoughts of his gift and curse. It haunts him much more often when he's alone. Giving chance for the mind to wonder off. He unwrapped a muggle spiral lollipop and began munching on it. For some unknown reason, tonight of all nights, he decided to head down towards the kitchen. Hungry? Not really. He had enough blood to last until the next meal time. The kitchen just felt about right tonight.

Without any further thoughts or concrete reason, he marched off to the kitchen. There wasn't a single house elf in sight but he had a feeling that some of them were awake and awaiting for any signs of order to start getting to work. He walked towards the long rectangular table that resembled the ones above ground and lay on it, boots and all. Arms beneath his head. It wasn't long before the the kitchen door swung open again. Ken did not bother to get up to be sure it was a student breaking curfew but he heard the loud growl of hunger.

It had to be her luck that the one time she sneaks out past curfew, she runs into one of the people she does not want to see at this moment. It was a prefect, a slytherin one in fact, but Baby couldn't remember his name. What was he even doing in the kitchen? He must've heard her, Baby was sure of it, but for some reason he didn't even bother to get up and he didn't even say anything. She stood there, frozen for about a minute, before she started to relax a little again. Maybe the guy didn't care that she was out past curfew. Well, obviously he didn't, because her stomach had kept growling and she's positive now that he knows of her presence. Should I say something? Baby contemplated to just act like he wasn't there, get her stuff of food and leave, but she wasn't sure. Is he even on duty? Baby hesitantly took a few steps forward, the sound loud in the almost empty room. She awkwardly ran her hand through her hair and noticed it was still pretty wild from lying around in her bed earlier. She'd have a hard time with combing that through in the morning and she rolled her eyes in irritation. She silently skipped to one of the freezers and remembered that if she'd open it, it'd light up. She turned around to face the unmoved guy on the table again before hesitantly speaking up. "Hey, I'm sorry, I skipped dinner by accident and I'm just getting some icecream or something..." She whispered, loud enough for him to hear. Is he dead? "Normally I'm never out past curfew and I'm going straight back to bed, I promise." FINALLY GOT THIS TO WORK TOOT TOOT

Silence.

He could hear the hesitant shuffling of the student's foot and the grumbling of the stomach. Unsure whether to make a run for it or obey the stomach's demands. But of course we know which side will win. Male or female? He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. The smell of today's dinner still linger heavily in the spotless kitchen along with the sweet smell of shampoo and of course, warm blood. The beating heart, pumping fresh blood throughout the body. He open his eyes, staring at the ceiling high above him. A female. Ken still refuses to move nor speak a word until the student finally did.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I skipped dinner by accident and I'm just getting some ice cream or something...Normally I'm never out past curfew and I'm going straight back to bed, I promise."

He was sure darn right that he should stop by the kitchen tonight. He gave a small laugh. Normally never out past curfew? Once they taste its sweet taste, they will always be back for more. Majority of the nights, he always meet the same bunch of faces. Sometimes he will just let them off and sometimes he don't. What should I do this time? Tonight is definitely not her first time breaking curfew since she said 'normally'. 

After a moment of consideration, he spoke. "Amuse me and I might let you go tonight." Ken finally turned his head towards her. His jet black eyes and pale skin looked eerie from the few lighted torch around the kitchen. Blame the part of him being a living dead.

And not just anything, it was a challenge. He sounded quite bored however and Baby couldn’t help the frown on her face. What was this guy on? He actually looked at her, but she still couldn’t come up with his name. He gave off some kind of weird warning signals though, Baby wasn’t comfortable at all and just wanted to grab the icecream and leave. Change in her other form even, then at least she’d feel somewhat safe. "Excuse me?" She said, almost insulted. She kind of had a reason to, it really sounded like he was trying to get her to strip for him or something. Which she wasn’t possibly gonna do, especially not for someone who’s probably closeminded as hell about bloodstatus and everything. She narrowed her eyes at him and stepped closer, ignoring the alarms going off in her mind. Something was wrong with this guy and she really wished she could change to her cat form, her senses were always way better then and she didn’t like not knowing what she was dealing with at the moment. "I have to amuse you?" She said to him, her tone very unbelieving. "How?" She hadn’t ever really heard a lot about this guy, probably because she doesn’t know his name, and Baby tried to think of someone talking about a Slytherin with this description. Shouldn’t be too hard, he had something very... recognizable about him "Who are you?” FINALLY GOT THIS TO WORK TOOT TOOT

Ken chuckled upon hearing her response. She sounded almost offended and it was to be expected from the way he had placed his request. He needn't the ability to read minds to be able to guess what she was imagining. From the tone of her voice and her chosen words, she probably would have thought along the lines of some seductive act. It was after all a request from a guy. The thought of amusement in the form of striping or any seductive acts had never crossed his mind. Don't get him wrong. He is a perfectly healthy 'undead' grown male who is perfectly straight and is attracted to any decently attractive women. However, his taste in that aspect may well be outdated. Heavily influenced from the culture and environment he was born and raised into, and that was a century ago. 

He watched her slowly approaching him as if he was some sort of dangerous animal and she was right. He may not be that monthly lump of furball but he is dangerous enough. When he was asked on how she was to amuse him, another laugh escape his lips. Children these days sure lacked creativity and imagination. Even if they claim they do, it was obvious that they were inclining towards the other direction of his definition of creative thinking. He pondered to himself on whether to continue teasing her or just let it be. 

"Who are you?"

Another question. Who am I? I am a walking undead that craves for three things – blood, revenge and candies. An undead who is also undoubtedly good looking if some makeup were applied to the flawlessly pale skin. A gentleman who happen to also be a century old and lost count as to how many times he had graduated. That's who Aizawa Kenichi is and that was what he itched to say out loud but he had no intention of letting his well kept status as a vampire be well known. He wouldn't want to summon the spotlight onto him, at least not at this point in time. He had kept quiet and hidden for a century for a purpose and is not going to publicly announce it anytime soon. 

"Before you asked a person for his name, isn't it good manners to give yours first." He asked with a lopsided smile, still laying there with his gaze fixed on the approaching female. "And has too much studying drain that creativity of yours." He continued on.
