    Victor sat in a chair in the deserted common room. Figures that he'd always managed to be at certain places and they were empty. Oh well, not like he'd be much conversation giver in his mind. Taking his pocket watch out of his robe pocket, his gaze landed on the silver thing. The poor thing was starting to show signs on Victor's tumbles. It wouldn't last for long if he kept this up.

    Opening it as a sigh left him, he couldn't help that he was clumsy like he was. True, he had tried not to be but it always ended up poorly.  His gaze landed on the black hands, the seconds hand was moving just as fast as ever. It surprised him as to how the thing was still working. Considering it's age, that would make anyone wonder how it was working without problems. Victor slouched in the chair and just listened to the barely audible ticking sound the watch made.

Homework? Completed.

Revision? Completed.

Stomach? Loaded.

In short there was nothing much to do and it's literally free time. Nana would have opted to go on a shopping spree but the thought of having to walk around all day and in heels weren't tempting. It probably kill her feet faster than she wanted. After all she had done most of her shopping during the holidays and almost on a daily basis from the money she earned from modelling. Easy job and quick money. Perks of being a foreign beauty. She did be making even more if she inherited some Veela blood but that did be cheating. After contemplating for a few minutes, the third year blonde headed Korean decided to head out into the bright outdoors for some fresh air. 

She skipped down the stairs towards the common room from her dormitory room while singing a little song, expecting the common room to be empty. Most of the students would be either in an empty classroom or the library. Ravenclaws are a studious bunch to the core although there are a few exceptions.

However, her sharp eyes caught sight of a boy sitting all alone in one of the blue couches. He doesn't looked familiar. First year? Between outdoors and indoors, the latter was more tempting. She quietly sneaked up next to him but her singing earlier on would have alerted him. 

"What are you looking at?" Her face probably just a foot away from him as she stare at the time piece. She might have probably scare the poor boy.

    Victor had heard the singing but he was still taken by surprise. His hand closed the pocket watch, making the familiar click sound. At the same time he turned round and looked. Course this caused him to slouch in the chair in order to get a good view of the fellow student. For a moment just sat there surprised. Well, so much for being in the common room alone, not that he was against the idea of being in there with others.

    "N...nothing." Victor answered nervously as he sort of laid there.

The boy sunk in deeper against his seat and looking clearly nervous. She had most definitely never seen his face before. Aside from her constant trip back and forth from the common room to library, class to library or vice versa, Nana took the opportunity to get to know every single Ravenclaw or at least those who have much appreciation for knowledge as she does. Thirst for knowledge is one of an eagle's core and she respect those who appreciates it. In her opinion, if they could just use a little more of that brain, the world did be a better place than it is now.

"That is clearly not nothing." Nana pointed out. She probably had unintentionally scare the new boy. He doesn't look any older than she is but looked rather...malnourished? Uninvited, she slumped into the empty seat next to him. Invitation is clearly not needed for a rightful eagle. She gave him a friendly smile meaning no harm. Ravenclaws must and never should fight with each other. "I don't bite." She reassured him. Well that's if she is in her human form and not the graceful artic fox.

    Victor watched Nana while sort of laying there nervously. However, he quickly sat up in the chair when she started to walk around the chair. Course he hadn't expected her to take a seat next to him.

    "R...Really...I'm just.....d...doing nothing." Victor responded as he sat there, clutching the pocket watch in his one hand. "I....I'm just....nor...normally....like this.." referring to his nervous personality and such.

Nana crossed her legs. The shorts that she was wearing revealed how long and slim her legs were. She rested her pretty blonde head against her hand, staring at him with an eyebrow raised. Inspecting a lab rat. "Literally you are not doing nothing because you are breathing, living, heart pumping, muscles contracting and expanding, sweating, thinking, clutching that watch and feeling nervous." She said without pausing to breath. 

Nana continued to eye the presumably new eagle. Normally he's like 'that'? Well this guy need to straighten up. How long is he going to be weaker than an elementary student. "Are you new?" She asked to clarify.

    Okay yes, he was doing all of that. But what he meant by nothing was something else. The fact that she read him so well didn't surprise him. Nor did it even phase him. He knew how obvious his personality was.

    "Yes....First year...." Victor said as he loosened his grip on the watch. "I'm....Victor....Shamble."

Ah! A first year kid.

The majority of them were always nervous and shy although there are some who walked about the campus as if they were the royal crown princes and princesses. After Nana had entered her second year, a phase considered to be not so junior anymore, she took the liberty to spend the first month placing all the those first years in their respective places. Regardless of their wealth, looks, age or knowledge, those that crosses the line were kicked back in place mentally, physically or verbally. It annoys her. Although her seniors did not say anything, it was the fact that they did not utter a word which is them showing their gratitude. Nana may have earned herself some enemies but for a girl who only depends on herself, she couldn't care of their pathetic opinions.

She remembered her own first year here in Hogwarts University. All awkward and shy because she had just graduated from Mahoutokoro and moved in to a foreign land far from South Korea. Culture shock and being the absolute stranger. With her beauty, brains and confident, first year soon became a fun year. It just took three months to get used to everything.

"Victor Shamble." She repeated his name out loud. A name that she will soon forget like every other people. "I'm Jang Jin Ah. Third year." Nana introduced herself. For a first year like him, she felt that he wouldn't be needing any kicking into place. In fact she felt he need more kicking out of place. The kid looked much more nervous than the average first years.

    Victor sat silently as Jin introduced herself to him. So she was third year? When she was done speaking, Victor thought about what to say. Only one thing came to mind so he tried not to stutter.

    "N...nice to meet you.." Victor said with a little bit of stuttering.

The stuttering had reduced but it was still noticeable. "Nice to meet you too, Victor." She gave a warm smile and intentionally mentioned his name to prevent herself from unintentionally forgetting it. She would undoubtedly be forgetting his name the moment she leave the common room to head elsewhere. This queer little forgetfulness of hers had given many the impression of her being arrogant due to her beauty and brains. However, there are some that would find her being...cute? Well, some people do have weird taste and they get weirder when they are deeply struck by cupid. 

The only people whom she ever remember their names were her family and her enemies. As they always say, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. Nana couldn't remember when and how this little bad habit of hers kicked in but being the couldn't care less and independent girl that she is, she got along with it just well. 

"So, how's university life so far?" She asked to get the conversation going on. It was usually the easiest question for both party...hopefully. University life was on a completely different level than what would have been high school. The subject difficulty level, the groups of people, the dramas and even fashion. She might be able to learn a thing or two from this fellow first year if he answer her in a much longer reply. "What do you major in?" She added on.
