A Curious Little Thing Called Love - Skye

Well today was the day. Alex hadn't really known what exactly he was going to do, so basically he was going to wing everything. But at least he had decided for the most part that they were going to have a picnic by the lake. Hopefully Skye liked picnics and thought that having one by the lake wasn't too cheesy.

Having spent most of his time in the kitchens hours before, Alex had some of the elves to help take the foods that he made, outside to the lake. He then went to clean up and also brought a picnic blanket and some pillows. Not only that, but he had asked the Herbology teacher to help pick some flowers too.

Shaking his head as he walked down the grounds to the lake, Alex thought that he was becoming a real sap. Oh how can one person change his point of view in such a quick time? Laying everything out on the ground, the boy arranged everything to look as wonderful as it could be. He really didn't have much artistic abilities, besides being able to cook.

Sitting down, the boy then nervously began to wait for the girl to show up. Good Merlin, this was going to drive him crazy, if all of this planning went down the drain. Alex sighed and leaned back against one of the pillows, listening for the footsteps of Skye. When someone finally approached, he sat up and smiled. "Welcome."

Skye never had been really nervous for anything in her life, especially not for dates. Which she hated, because the nerves add to the excitement, to the adrenaline. And Skye loved the feeling of adrenaline racing through her body, but dating was never one of the things that did it for her. Maybe it was because she'd never really had a date like the one she was headed to now. Maybe when she saw what Alex had done for her, which was going to be at the lake (plus point for him already), the nerves would come.

She nodded to herself and remembered the nerves when he'd asked her out on the quidditch pitch. Those had been nerves, and they probably had been there because she got the feeling that this guy actually liked her. Like, like-like her.

After thinking about that, just remembering that moment, Skye could feel a small vulcano bursting out nerves in her stomach. The rythm of her heart picked up immediately and she couldn't help the grin on her face. Why haven't I ever really done this before? She thought and quickened her steps.

Not very long after she left the school building and she could vaguely see the lake in the distance already. She looked down and fixed her blouse for a second. Other then the satiny blouse she'd kept it rather casual, thinking Alex would appreciate that more then going all out with the makeup and stuff.

As she got closer she spotted him, laying on the ground, surrounded by pillows. She smirked when she saw it was going to be a picknick and hoped the food would be good. She knew Alex was part of the culinairy club of the university, but she'd never really eaten anything other than the food the elves made them.

“Well hiya...” Skye smiled and sat down next to Alex. “Gotta admit I didn't expect this.” She gestured around and looked at the lake. “I love the lake though, hopefully we'll end the date with some skinny dipping right?” Skye half-teased.

As Skye got closer to Alex, the boy couldn't help but ogle slightly at what she was wearing. Forcing himself to look back up at the girl's face when she sat down, the boy grinned back. He scooted over slightly and said, "You look nice Skye. I love the blouse, it looks particularly good on you." He then shrugged his shoulders and replied, "See I told you that it would be a surprise." The Claw gave the Snake a wink as he added, "Glad that you love it thought. I was rather nervous you might think that the whole thing was rather cheesy."

However at Skye's skinny dipping comment, Alex raised an eyebrow and wiggled it suggestively. "Seriously Skye, skinny dipping?" He asked teasingly. "You really want to see me naked that badly already?" The boy however then shrugged his shoulders and murmured causally, "Sure we can add that to the plan if you want." He added mentally, 'cause seriously, I've got nothing planned...' All he wanted to do was to spend more time with Skye and that was all he had in mind really.

"Oh, and I got you something else too, besides the picnic." Alex added, reaching next to him and picked up the small bouquet of flowers that consists of lilies, daises and a few others. "Here, for you. I don't really know what kind you like, thought. I hope you don't mind me giving them to you..." He trailed off, a blush forming in his cheeks again. 'Gaag, nerves, you got to have nerves....' The boy chided himself as he ran a hand through his already messy hair.
