Only a few months after the war...While it is still rather fresh in their minds, recovering after a war wasn’t the easiest task. While many have struggled with the loss of loved ones, they have started picking up the broken pieces of their lives to start again. To start a life free from harm, free from war, free from evil… or have they?
While Hogwarts has been returned to fully functioning school, with the help of some students and the community repairing it to the best of their ability. Hogwarts will never truly be the same, but it has not stopped the Headmistress Minerva McGonagall in working hard at replenishing the school’s resources and finding dedicated professors to teach the returning, and new influx of students for the new start of term, which started in September.
St Mungo’s have been suffering from the lack of staff available after the war. Many people have suffered enough from seeing the casualties have not returned back to work, each with their own reasons. The newly appointed Head Chief of St Mungo’s Hospital, Callisto Havik, has been searching for a cure for the Lycanthropy illness and will go to all extremes to produce an outcome by the end of the year. Unfortunately, with the lack of staff and funding, the hospital has threats of being closed down. The Ministry of Magic believe rumors of misconduct and illegal experimental procedures being conducted on first year students of Hogwarts, as well as keeping people captive from all countries. These experiments have included injecting the Lycanthropy illness into these people, only for them to have suffered a horrible excruciating death. Callisto Havik has a hard enough time trying to find a cure, let alone explain her actions and change the minds of the Ministry to save her job and not be thrown into Azkaban for something she didn’t do.
The Ministry of Magic have had an influx of wonderful new workers after the Second Wizarding War, inviting those who fought in the battle, to join the ranks within the Auror and Hit Wizard departments including Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. This isn’t the only news around the Ministry; Ambassadors from all countries have been getting killed on British soil and have been blaming the Britain’s for orchestrating the attacks. The United States of America as well as Spain have engaged in an open battle in retaliation, without explanation from the British Ministry of Magic to try and rectify the confusion. The Minister, Stephen Idle, has been working hard at mending the relationships of the other Governments in order to break the taboo tainted by Voldemort’s war, so far only having Bulgaria backing up Britain.
There has been only a few unsuspecting whispers of another Dark Wizard uprising, from the followers of Voldemort forming their own little group, led by three wizards. While the whispers are only around Knockturn Alley, the Ministry have already dismissed it stating that it’s a rumor and nothing more. Little do they know these three allied extremists have already started recruiting, their eyes are focused on the young to train them into their ways. One in power in the Ministry, one on the streets, and the other secretly sitting in the shadows between good and evil. Whether these Extremists are behind the bombings, spreading the rumors and causing issues... only time will tell.
