Justin adjusted his hat and walked into something what used to be the dining hall. It looked totally different though and he had to admit that the decorations put the ones at Hogwarts last year to shame. The entire hall was dark, mysterious, but at the same time bright with all the lights flashing in your face. The music was not too loud, but Justin guessed that would be different once you entered the dancefloor that lay in the middle.

He walked to the bar and ordered a firewhiskey, his cowboys boots making noise on the marble floor every time they touched down. He looked through the faces and masks to see if he recognised anyone. Especially for someone he'd really like to see tonight. But maybe they just weren't here yet.

      Dawn nervously fiddled with her outfit. She couldn't help but try to pull down her short, black leather skirt and wrap her long coat around her bare mid-drift. Her thigh-high boots weren't making her feel any more comfortable as they clicked against the floor. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a high pony tail, so it was easy to see her softly rounded face and nervous blue-green eyes. The jewels she wore around her neck and waist all glittered in the lighting. Her bra-like top under the coat also glittered, casting broken bits of light across her face. She glanced around nervously at all the unfamiliar people. Dawn was always jumpy and uncomfortable in crowds.
      What was I thinking? Maybe I shouldn't have come... No, wait, I came here to have a good time. These people being around shouldn't stop me! I just need to let the music take over.  She sighed and went over to the bar, biting her lower lip gently. She really needed something to drink. She ordered a bottle of beer and looked around as she waited. She tried to see if she recognized anyone, but she doubted it; no one had really noticed the librarian's assistant before.

walking into the dining hall Aaliyah smiled to herself, she remembered these balls from back when she was a student and knew just how much trouble could be caused there and how many injuries could happen, that was a partial reason she was going to it, the other being she hoped to see someone there. looking around it reminded her a lot of when she was there.

making her way to the bar she pulled her red hood on her cape up, ordering a drink she took the chance to look around and see who was there exactly.

Halloween was close and it was one of her favorite holidays. Of course it meant alot of frantically running around trying to pull together a costume but she didn't mind. This year she chose to go with something simple, something relevant to her. As she made her way into the halls, her mind drifted to thoughts of Emilie, wondering what she chose to dress up as. Maybe she didn't even celebrate the occasion at all and wasn't coming. Shaking her head she decided to make her way over to the bar where a boy dressed up as a cowboy was already standing.

Snorting with laugh, she shook her head. What a silly situation, having a cowboy standing next to her right now. Ordering a drink as well, she glanced over at the cowboy and nodded in his direction. "Hey. Nice costume." she greeted but beyond that did not know him enough to strike up a true conversation with him. Turning to watch for the rest of the students, she was excited to see all of the outfits that would filter through that door at any moment now.

     Dawn was quick to gulp down her beer, still looking around at the others who were coming and going. As she felt herself relax from the alcohol, she ordered three hottie totties. It was one of her favorite drinks that came as a shot. It had Whiskey, cinnamon, and even honey mixed in. Well if I'm going to get hammered, I may as well do it right. Mom would tear me a new one if she could see me now. She looked over the hall as she saw the one young lady dressed like a Native American Indian and she couldn't help but smile. It still amazed her how small of a world it was that they lived in. She came closer to the young woman and said, "That's a pretty sweet costume. Native American, right? What tribe inspired it?"
      She smiled in a friendly manner. Of course she was unusually sociably now that she was starting to feel the light buzz go through her. She smiled even more when she got her three shots. She had every intention of partying as if it was her last night to live it up. Lord knows that my classes are going to keep me a tad bit too busy to party like this for a while. She looked to the young woman, waiting for an answer patiently. If Dawn was lucky, it would be a tribe she had heard of. If she was really, really lucky, it would be a tribe like the Sioux, Lakota, or Cherokee.

As she scanned the crowd, Aurore noticed that some one looking back at her from across the bar. There was a smile plastered on the girls face as she made her way closer, causing Aurore to raise a brow. Putting on a smirk of her own she waited until the girl was in ear shot but before she could speak the other girl would start the conversation. Pretty sweet costume? Yeah well she supposed the girl was right, she loved her outfit and thought it was too bad she didn't dress this way more often for kicks.

"Thanks. Yeah, you're right. It's part of my heritage." she replied, nodding at Dawn. "Sioux." she replied with a smile. She was surprised someone was actually so interested in it beyond what they saw. Here for twenty minutes and she was already making friends, typical Aurore in most situations. She seemed to draw people to her for reasons she didn't understand but she couldn't complain. "You have a very pretty costume yourself." she said complimenting the girls choice. It reminded her of some sort of entertainer, one of those muggle "Pop" singers or whatever they were called.

"I'm Aurore, you are?" she asked.

     Dawn nodded and smiled more. "Oh, the Sioux. I've heard about them before. Don't they have the history of being amazing with horses?" She was glad that Aurore seemed alright with her behavior. She probably wouldn't have noticed me unless I spoke first... But she does seem to be quite nice. Dawn gulped down one of her three shots before holding out her hand. "I'm Dawn Cantilupe, a first year in Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you. And thanks for the compliment. If I had thought of it before getting this ridiculous outfit, I probably would've came dressed in something Cherokee style. I'm one-sixteenth..."
     Almost as an after-thought, Dawn blushed and rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand. "Sorry, I tend to talk too much when I'm nervous, especially around people I don't know yet." She gently bit her bottom lip, a really annoying habit she had picked up when she was in middle school. Some people thought it was cute when she did that, but she sometimes accidentally bit too hard. Relax, Dawn, she probably isn't judging you nine ways to Sunday...At least not yet. Just get your nervous blabbermouth under control. She was reduced to a nervous, shy smile like always.

The usual Aurore smile threatened to consume her features as the girl before her seemed to have a bit of knowledge she did not expect anyone here to have. With a nod of her head she chuckled softly at Dawn. "Honestly I'm surprised that you know that at all." she said, making her disbelief known. Honestly she had never run into someone like herself at all before in the wizarding world. She was beginning to wonder about that but decided that it was something she could never find an answer for and it would just make her head explode.

"It's nice to meet you as well. Just try and relax. I talk all the time for no reason at all so it's not a problem. I don't bite." she said as she laughed. She never shut up and that was usually a problem for some but for a girl who could not stop talking herself it seemed to work out just right. "I'm in Ravenclaw. Second year Prefect. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask, even if I'm not in Hufflepuff." she said smiling.

    Dawn couldn't help but smile from Aurore's friendly demeanor. Most people told her off when she babbled, and she found it surprising that she had caught Aurore by surprise. I guess there aren't very many Native American witches or wizards around here... Would that make Aurore and I the only ones here or were there others? The cowboy farther down the bar looks like he might have a touch of Native American in him... She couldn't help but glance down at the guy who was dressed up like a cowboy before returning her attention to Aurore. "Well it's good to know I'm not the only one around with some Native American, and that I'm not annoying you," she said with a soft laugh.
    She gulped down another of her shots as she listened to Aurore. "I like talking to other people of other houses, when I get the chance. So far you're one of the few people I've talked to. Not a lot of people notice librarian assistants though, but that's alright." She smiled more as she ran her fingers over the bar, feeling the alcohol relax her more. She felt the beat of the music resonating through her body. "I've actually always been curious about Native American cultures, but I could never find much about the Sioux, unfortunately."

October – The month of scare with the must have Halloween Ball in any university, both muggle and wizards alike. It is a time when our childhood nightmares turns into reality in the most creative way that a human mind can conjure. But of course, those nightmares are an absolute reality in the wizarding world, such as the full moon cursed furballs, ghouls, goblins and blood thirsty vampires. 

Entering the party dressed entirely in a simple plain black outfit is Slytherin's Aizawa Kenichi. Crimson liquid can be seen smeared artfully next to his lips, along with a pair of glowing red eyes made even more intense with a little touch of eyeliner and his natural dark circles. The redness were strikingly clear against his deathly pale skin which look paler under the light. His character? A vampire. Kenichi was going literally as himself but of course, no one knew it and took it as a half ass dressing up job since the most vital part is missing – fangs. It was one of those rare times that he was comfortable being in his own skin.

Ken made a grab at the glass of red syrup and walked towards a corner, tempted to exchange the syrup for his packet of 'tomato juice' that laid in his pant's pocket. He silently observed the growing crowd in their wide variety of costume.
