Just a normal aftermath of breakfeast (open)

    Telling someone to leave him alone was a thing he long gave up on doing. Usually he used to say it to the bullies but since they never did leave him alone. He stopped saying it. The words would no longer form like that. So, that's why he always tried to talk to others.

    "I...It's hard to...to tell..." Victor said. "M...many people have.....been...f...fake.....f...f....friends..."

    Victor was the definition of stranger or outcast. He had no group. He wasn't even considered a nerd. He was considered as a outcast, nothing more. No social group, no school group type. Nothing.

Alex's eye widen, when he heard what Victor had said. He had actually gotten it right. "You... you don't actually mean that do you?" The boy asked slowly in a quiet voice. He could feel his anger boiling in the pit of his stomach again.

"I'm so sorry." The older boy added after a brief period of silence as he stared at the younger boy. "But trust me, I don't want to be a fake friend to you. I want to be your real friend, a person that you can trust to stick with you through thick and thin. Honestly." Alex really had no intention of pretending. He truly wanted to him Victor.

    Why would he lie about that? It was a subject that really shouldn't be lied on. He meant it. Even though the expression on his face was a nervous one, it also showed that he was telling the truth.

    "I..it's not...not...y..your fault...." Victor stuttered. "N..No....rea...reason to apologize..."

    Victor went silent when he heard the rest of Alex's words. He wanted to believe him. But how could he when he had gone through everything in his life? It was hard to believe certain things said.

No, Victor was actually telling the truth, for Alex could tell by how serious he was about it. A sadden look came across the older boy's face when the other boy stuttered out that there was no need for him to apologize. "I know there is no need to apologize, but it's just so sad to hear that fact come out of anyone's mouth."

Looking at Victor's body actions, Alex knew he still haven't had the younger boy convinced. But he wasn't going to push him anymore. He had done all he could, now it was up to the boy to want to believe him or not. "Every word I'm saying is true Victor. But now it's totally up to you in whether or not you want to believe in them. I can't help you decide, even if I wanted to."

    Victor didn't know what to say, what to do. To any of this. It was hard. He sat there thinking for a while. What to say, what to say?

    "P...Per....Perhaps time....will...will....help....show som...something...different.." Victor stuttered.

    Yeah, he had his riddlish like moments or whatever you would call it. Pretty much it meant, we shall see what will be with time. Victor decided to try and believe Alex. Time may or might prove him wrong.

Alex gave Victor a slight smile as he heard the boy's words. Will time tell? Will it allow this boy to gain back some confidence that his brothers had stripped away from him? As he thought about these worrisome question to himself, the older boy nodded his head. "Perhaps," He mused, tilting his head to the side, "Yes perhaps time will help illuminate things."

He then reached out and gently ruffled Victor's hair. "But as for now, trust is the only way to go. The word maybe a double edged sword, but it's actually up to you, which way it will tilt to, as well as the other person." Alex chuckled to himself, his mood brightening a little. Word puzzles, oh how he loved them.

    Victor cringed a little bit when he saw Alex's hand come to him. But he relaxed a bit when he released that Alex wasn't going to hurt him. The gesture though confused him. Considering he never received it before from anyone, he didn't see what it was suppose to represent. Well, hopefully time would tell.

Alex, seeing Victor cringe a little when his hands came up, frowned a little. Goodness, did they beat him too or something? But seeing the other boy relax, the frown disappeared and it was replaced by a smile again.

A look of confusing flit across Victor's face when Alex ruffled his hair. Oh he guessed that he would have to explain that to him huh? "When someone ruffles another hair, it's a sign of affection towards someone. It doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic one thought, so don't get me wrong." He quickly added, knowing that Victor might think otherwise.

    The bullying from other people was what resulted in his earlier cringe. It was reflex really. The explanation that  Alex provided though, did catch him off guard. Course, he somewhat relaxed when he finished it. After a few moments of silence, Victor tried to think of a subject of converse. He wasn't sure if he already asked this though.

    "W...what's..you...you're major?" Victor asked.

Okay everything seem to be fine now after Alex's explanation of the hair ruffling. He was glad that at least the boy didn't freak out at his explanation.  Both of them, especially Victor seemed more relax and at peace with one another. A brief moment of silence grew between the two of them before the younger boy asked what his major was.

"My major is transfiguration." Alex replied with a smile, "I find the topic very interesting as well as amazing. To be able to transform one object to another is a fantastic ability. So that means, if I don't have a fork, but I do have a stick, then I could probably transform that stick into a fork." He chuckled softly at his own analogy before asking Victor, "So what's yours?"
